Cwmbran Shopping Centre – 60th Anniversary

As mentioned in the previous post, Lizzie was invited to take part in the 60th anniversary celebrations of the opening of Cwmbran Shopping Centre. She was one of five vehicles to take part, the others being a Triumph Herald, an Austin Mini Cooper, a Morris 1000 and a Twin Cam MG.

The only problem with being in a shopping centre is you tend to go shopping! However, being able to purchase Iceland’s award winning Christmas Cake and Christmas Pud and carry it only about 10 steps to the car was a winning combination.

The five stars of the day lined up. All cars were representative of the year 1959, the year the centre opened.
