{"id":230,"date":"2020-08-17T11:16:20","date_gmt":"2020-08-17T11:16:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lizzie-the-anglia.wales\/?p=230"},"modified":"2021-01-12T11:52:17","modified_gmt":"2021-01-12T11:52:17","slug":"a-taxing-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lizzie-the-anglia.wales\/?p=230","title":{"rendered":"A taxing time"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Since January 1921 for many years up until 2015 one thing remained constant with a road vehicle &#8211; the requirement to display a tax disc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lizzie is displaying a copy of a 1956 disc but this is a low-resolution copy and does miss some details.  With this in mind a Google search was initiated looking for a better image with a view to making up my own. As you can see it looks every bit like an original.  The circles along the outside can be punched out and then torn to give a more authentic look when mounting in the car.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This was \u00a311.99 well spent in my opinion and less than the \u00a312 10s duty payable back in 1956!
